Let's have a little informal poll, shall we? At this point and time in America, who is hated most?
1. Homosexuals
2. Illegal Immigrants
3. Muslims
I think it's a pretty tight race between gays and Muslims. But that's just my opinion.

I'd vote for Illegal immigrants who are homosexual Muslims. That has got to suck! :)
On a serious note I'd say I agree its a tight race between gays and muslims (type-o earlier) as far as personal hatred.
But who do people feel the most comfortable vocalizing hate for?
Muslims and Illegal Immigrants.
Of the three only Muslims are actively seeking, and cultivating the nomination!
ENLIGHTENMENT ..... IS A SPAM-BOT
It maintains it's own Islamic agenda.
DON'T BELIEVE ME, COPY AND PASTE THIS STRING INTO ANY SEARCH ENGINE.
"One thing that struck me as odd in the days after 9/11 was Bush saying "We will not tolerate conspiracy theories [regarding 9/11]". Sure enough there have been some wacky conspiracy theories surrounding the events of that day."

Sorry, Enlightenment, but you are too damn long winded. The comment has got to go. Learn the meaning of concise.
interesting poll you have going on there. ofcourse i can't take part in it since i'm not living in america and i can't really say who people hat e more over there but i'm guessing that 10 years ago it would've been gays - illegal immigrants - muslims....now it's probably muslims - gays - illegal immigrants...but i'm just guessing.
I think its muslims
Actually, President Bush (62% job disapproval, 52% negative opinion) and Republican Congressmen (72% job disapproval, 46% negative opinion) may be more hated than Muslims (41% favorable opinion, 54% think mainstream Islam is peaceful, 59% think they are not prejudiced against Muslims), gays (60% support marriage or civil unions for homosexuals), or illegal immigrants (65% support a guest worker program).
But I might just be projecting. (The numbers are from data at pollingreport.com)
Hey Anonymous, you are the one being duped you stupid asshole. Try pulling your head out of Dick Cheney's ass and actually thinking for yourself. Use your head for something besides a hatrack. Here's a clue: Just because people on television tell you something doesn't mean that it is true. Ignorant pussy.
And for Jane:
Sorry I can't dumb it down into a 30-second sound bite so you and other Duh-mericans can wrap their tiny little minds around it and hold their attention. An entire nation of people with ADHD. Pathetic.
Enlightenment,
There is no need to get so nasty and defensive if you really believe in what you are saying. 34K is too long for a comment. This is my blog and I have the right to call the shots. If you are so needing everyone to read your thoughts, post your link instead of your whole ideology. And one more thing, I don't take kindly to those who love to bash myself and fellow Americans. We are a nation of good people, for the most part. Our people are no better or no worse than any other peoples. Your insults and childish name-calling do not suit you. If you seriously want others to listen to you, you sure as hell better learn tact and diplomacy. Calling others pathetic and asshole only lessens your credibility.
Thanks to everyone for taking part in my little informal poll. And John, kick-ass statistics! Thank you! I was about ready to hand the trophy to the Muslims. It is reassuring to know that Bush is more disliked and distrusted. The country hasn't gone completely crazy, just a bit off-kilter.
I think that Illegal immigrants and Muslims are more disliked than homosexuals, but concerning Muslims, the Jewish media is responsible of the most of the Muslim's bad image showing them as terrorists, bloody, oppressing women ...etc. and showing Islam as a religion of violence which can't coexist with other cultures and civilizations. Samuel Huntington's book "The clash of civilizations and the remaking of world order" is a good example of what i have said. Also his latest book which is about migrants whether legal or illegal "Who r we, the challenges to America's national identity" is an example of the increasing fear from migrants. Such books cannot help to approach between civilizations. We Muslims have a great responsibility to correct our bad image, but also people from other cultures and civilitions have the same responsbility. When i get to know foreigners and ask them about their opinion in Islam and Muslims after seeing them not through the media lenses, but throug their own eyes and direct experience, their answers and feed back is almost totally positive.
Finally there is a good quotation from Samuels Huntington's book "Clash of civiliztions" which is (In wars between cultures, culture loses).
